"Serbian Lexicography Today"

Professor Gortan-Premk has taught lexicography and lexicology at the University of Belgrade where she is currently professor emerita.  Professor Gortan-Premk is a well-known authority in these subjects in Serbia and has served as a mentor to many of the present-day Serbian lexicographers.  A member of the Serbian Language Board and a director of lexicographic publications for the Matica Srpska publishing house, Professor Gortan-Premk also is currently organizing a lexicographic graduate program at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia. 

 

 

The talk will focus on the current state of Serbian lexicography including the recent changes making Serbo-Croatian into three standard languages.

 

This lecture will be conducted in Serbian with interpretation into English.
